D.J. Thunder and Tyehill are The Produktionix

Two different personalities two different styles one common goal to make good music. The Produktionix, as they call themselves, comprises of Tyehill & D.J. Thunder.

Tyehill has been surrounded by music far into the depths of his childhood. Photos from his youth show a young Tyehill standing side by side with Robert Kelly to be later known as the R&B genius R. Kelly. A short distance down the block in a southwest suburb of Chicago, lived another good friend Felix Stallings, who in later years became the widely successful house DJ, Felix Da Housecat. Though surrounded by R&B and House sensations, Tyehill gravitated towards the early sounds of Hip Hop and fell in love.

In 91 known as cosmic scene with partner Jesenuf, Tyehill considered himself an emcee and began producing as a hobby so he could have a beat to rap over. Seven years later, Tye's roommate brought home an ASR 10, Digital 4 Track, mic and headphones, which Tyehill quickly claimed ownership of. Emceeing now came second to the art of crafting beats as his main outlet of creativity.

D.J. Thunder's passion for music is in his gene pool. Before he began as a DJ, playing the drums was his first love. Thunders father is a Bass Player (you can catch him playing on the tracks!) and his mother is a vocalist. His uncle played piano drums, bass, trumpet and DJd parties, engulfing Thunder in rhythms since birth.

D.J. Thunder started djing 10 years ago but learned the concept of blending records at an early age. Musician qualities helped him understand putting music together, instrumentals and acapellas, which turned him in the direction of producing. Thunder started producing in 2001 and became obsessed with the art of making melodies and drum patterns blend for a different industry sound.

These day you can find both producers cooped up on Chicagos west Loop in Planet Earth studio. When away from Planet Earth, you'll catch D.J. Thunder working the clubs with DJ mentor Heavy Hitter Pharris Thomas. In addition, to Thomas, Produktionix have also earned the respect of DJ Boolu Master, who frequently shouts them out on Power 92.3, The Hot Boys Tone & Shag, Mikkey, and St. Louis own TrackStars, producers for Chingy & DTP.

Though as different as night and day, both Tyehill and D.J.Thunder agree their purpose for being a producer now is for the love of music and to bring a different sound to Hip Hop, with a blend of ... and ...(sorry thats a secret) but, lets just say their here to resurrect Hip Hop.
